1963 Ferreira vintage port

Lovely sweet starwberry jam on the nose, with some freash sage or basil aromatics. Sweet ont the tongue, gentle and fruity - perhaps a bit flabby but with some tannins still supporting the flavours. Pleasant and elegant. Good fruit based aftertaste, good volume and nice length. 88/100. Drunk 26 May 2010 after 2.5 hours decanting.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
