The Shiraz take on port. Made by the Osborn family (no relations I think) of D'arenberg since the early 1900s.
Opened and decanted for 1 day.
Dark dusty blueberries on the nose with a hint of peppermint/eucalyptis
Perfumey violets and black pepper flushed with loads of blueberries dominate the palate but is surprisingly lithe going down. Surprisingly finishes like a fine shiraz with hints of wet tobacco and candied chocolate.
A very interesting experience!

Took a punt of 6 bottles of this a while ago and agree. Nice port like drink that non port lovers can enjoy. My partner will drink this but not port - not entirely tragic of course.
