1970 Martinez vintage port
Slightly darker than the Croft and slightly lighter than the Noval shown alongside this wine. Warm and spicy fruit on the nose, but quite faint. Good texture, with soft and orangey flavours hidden amongst lots of sweet strawberry. Tannins still showing gently with lively spiciness. Modest complexity, quite light bodied and acidic. Big aftertaste; long, lively and spicy finish. A wine to be drunk rather than kept. 85/100. Drunk 15 July 2010.

Quite spicy and alcoholic. Lacks fruit and focus. I found this to be a middling effort and couldn't be bothered to write more comprehensive notes describing it. 85 points
