Dirk has recently bottled a 2005 Colheita, ahead of his 2003 and 2004 stocks (the most recent previous bottling is 2001)
Why bottle now, at the tender age of just eight years?
- Because it's absolutely delicious, a must try..

Will have to give it a go..
But not all that uncommon to bottle "out of order", to use the term. The big years, such as 2003, tend to take longer to lose their fruit and turn into nice tawny's.

2005 is pretty big - IMO..The big years, such as 2003, tend to take longer to lose their fruit and turn into nice tawny's.

Yes but arguably not as big and ripe as 2003.uncle tom wrote:2005 is pretty big - IMO..The big years, such as 2003, tend to take longer to lose their fruit and turn into nice tawny's.
Btw 2005 Roeda rocks and is worth seeking out.
