Quinta da Carvalhosa Ardosino 2007 Douro DOC
(Quinta da Carvalhosa is a joint-venture of the three German VDP-winemakers Näkel, Philippi and Breuer)
hardly any crust (although the wine was not filtered according to their website), D+0: smells strongly of red currant and a little bit of raspberry, D+1h: smells strongly of raspberry and nothing else, quite dark for a wine with seven years of age, crimson colour, smooth in the mouth + sweet tannins, but quite a dry finish, quite a long aftertaste, 86 P.
