1986 Latour

Wow, what a wine

Pure/clean, sweet currants on both the palate and the nose.

builds into a fuller, lush sweet cherry after 20 minutes in the glass and the finish starts from a sweet cranberry note into a lush blueberry finish.

just stunning

97.

How tannic was it? In general, I find the '86s are still quite powerful.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

very noticeable but in a very "silky" make that mouth water so everything tastes a little sweeter kind of way
