2009 Pombal do Vesuvio

Post by djewesbury »

Big beefy tobacco nose, with fruit and elegance. Mouth is really powerful, with spice, wood, cedar, but light and fresh also, excellently balanced and by no means a simple bully. Wonderful.
Drunk at the Essência do Vinho in Porto in Feb / Mar 2014.

I can only concur with Daniel. A great wine, even better than the Post Scriptum.

I really like the 2007 when it came out and bought and drank a lot of it. Very glad to hear the 2009 is also very good. I'll pick some up when I run across it.
