2009 Schloß Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett Rotlack (red seal) trocken (dry)
pale yellow, smells of apricot and a little bit of petrol, very light body, fresh acidity in the mouth, apricot and a little bit of petrol in the mouth, short finish with some petrol, there are many better Rheingau Rieslings than this one
Given this mediocre wine, I really don't understand why a Rotlack costs double the price of a standard Kabinett of other VDP-producers. I guess you simply have to pay a premium for the big name.
