1974 Feuerheerd Colheita (bottled 2013)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2013. Dark honey-brown in colour, but with a slight green on the rim. A huge colheita nose full of marzipan and ripe pears. Thick and sweet texture with powerful acidity that cuts through the sweetness and fruit. Big flavours on the palate. Big, honeyed aftertaste with lots of lime, lemon and grapefruit oil. Very lovely. 90/100. Drunk 23-Apr-14. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
