1999 Chateau Clinet, Pomerol
Bought from a supermarket in Brussels the day before being served. Lovely nose of rich and mature claret. Soft and gentle entry with mature fruit and tannins which are still very powerful. A fabulous finish. Many years of cellar life ahread of this wine. 90/100. Drunk 22-May-14.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
