1964 Bodegas Franco Espanolas Royal Reserva
Mature red appearance. 50% opaque and slightly cloudy. Bottle stink nose with some mature fruit showing. Dry and fierce tannins on the palate that is lacking in fruit. The tannins and palate soften with patience and the sweet fruit works through eventually but the tannins remain powerful. The aftertaste is wonderful and fragrant and full of a lovely mandarin orange. 90/100. Tasted 24-Jun-14. Pop 'n' pour
