1988 Caves Sao Joao Reserva Particular
Mature red appearance. Strong barnyard nose, reminiscent of an old-fashioned claret. Clean impact, plenty of acidity followed by lovely light floral fruit. Great balance with tannins still showing in an slightly overwhelming manner. Delicious and enjoyable finish. 86/100. Tasted 24-Jun-14. Pop 'n' pour
