Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

where's that port

Post by Simon Lisle »

For the first time in my life I went to get a specific bottle of port and looked and looked then I looked through the cases of wine behind the drum kit before I realised I'd drunk it two months previously  The bottle in question a crusted 86.I hope I'm not reaching the stage of portzeimers.

Niepoort 1963 went missing

Post by jdaw1 »

My two bottles of Niepoort 1963 somehow became one bottle, and I am still absolutely sure that I have never tasted Niepoort 1963. It’s not forgetfulness; it just disappeared.

My wife was looking over my shoulder when I read this thread. She couldn't stop giggling all night at the thought of "Portzheimer's disease", remembering some occasions when I have virtually emptied the cellar looking for a bottle I was certain that I had, only to fail to find it.

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
