1996 Barros Colheita (bottled 2015)

Bottled 2015. Rusty red colour, 60% opaque. Toffee apples on the nose, but not much showing. Nice texture on the palate, rich and rewarding with lots of toffee apple flavours and a surprising amount of tannins that combine to give a lovely fruity and chewy palate and finish. Delicious. 91/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
