1970 Niepoort

1970 Niepoort, consumed Thursday 14th February 2008, and from the collection of Roy Hersh, who had been given it in 2003 by the maker’s son.

Light nose, Alex B finding, perhaps correctly, “blood oranges†. An unusual mouthfeel: plenty of heat, but very nicely intermingled with the rich stickiness. Medium short; lovely texture. To which I added, helpfully, “Tastes of port.† 7/6 in Uncle T’s system.
