2007 Sandeman vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Cask sample. Intense red in colour, with violet dominating; an opaque centre. Superb blueberry nose, sweetening the blackcurrant juice. Very sweet entry, plenty of fruit but also hugely tannic and with a strong acidic core. A very big wine with some massive potential. 92-94. Drunk 26 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I think that, if I wrote a note, I can’t find it. EATNB, perhaps.

I gave it 90-93. Here is my TN over at FTLOP. Our bottles sound very different... I suspect I would have liked your bottle better.
