H78: very pale pink, and cloudy. Nose acid and sour. To taste acid and sour. CSD: ‟horrible”. WS: ‟It is horrible. It is not good at all. But it is the best Hutcheson I have had.” I agree with both of these.

There are very few producers in the Douro of whose 1978 is better than the 1970. I can think of only one: yes, Hutcheson. I am not aware if Rebello Valente did produce a 1978 and I am sure that it is not worth a try.
