30% opacity, red amber. Christmas cake on the nose. Smooth entry, drying red fruit - cranberry. Nice long finish.

A lovely red ochre colour, mature and only 30% opaque. Delicious nose, with lots of fully mature fruit. Satin texture on the palate, rich in the flavours of mature and spiced red fruit. Generous levels of acidity and some remnants of tannins. Rich and complex, very enjoyable - a definite fireside Port; really lovely. Served blind, this was guessed to be Warre 1966. 93/100. Decanted 14 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
