1970 Warre
Re: 1970 Warre
35% opacity, mature red. Christmas cake on the nose. Smooth entry, rish and full, red fruits - strawberries. Perhaps about to turn the corner and dry out a little. Just some hints of dryness in the finish.

Re: 1970 Warre
Deep red, mature tone with a little fine sediment in the centre; 40% opaque. Astringent but fruity nose. Forceful and firm entry onto the palate bringing mature fruit but still with substantial primary tones, rich without being over the top. Plenty of acidity and gentle tannins mingle with the fruit. Some heat on the aftertaste with a long lingering cedar and aniseed finish. Served blind, this was guessed to be Taylor 1966. 90/100. Decanted 13 hours.
