I am climbing a Munro in Perthshire on Saturday. The name begins with "C" - name that Munro? ( would ask you to also declare the height in feet but I'm not allowed to)

Have fun! That's evidently the 2nd most popular munro for climbing, so you'll probably have company.
I will be having 4 different Ports/ports on Monday. I believe that all 4 have been mentioned, if not discussed, in association with me in the last 3 weeks on either
or
.
How many total years worth of drinks will I be consuming, using bottling date for any bottles that don't otherwise indicate how old they might be?

156 works out to be an average of vintages / bottlings from 1970 - ambitious but possible even with American cellars.

I am refraining from posting an answer to this on the grounds that adding up ages is fundamentally flawed and as a Maths graduate I cannot respond. I would expect all other Maths graduates but some people must lack conviction

The question should be "How many Bridgemans of Port will I be drinking?".

Correct, of course. The question was, I guess, imprecise on that point.jdaw1 wrote:The answer is denominated in bottle-years, not in years.
LOL... and since it is 4 bottles, that gives it a Turnbull Time of 3 months, correct?KillerB wrote:The question should be "How many Bridgemans of Port will I be drinking?".

All guesses are still too high.
It is an interesting selection, chosen not for any sort of symmetry but just because we want to share them. I'll reveal the list once the quiz has been answered.

Oh yes - 78 Bridgemans.
I think the proper plural for Bridgeman should be Bridgemans not Bridgemen - debate in the appropriate thread if you disagree.

You can't go inventing your own units without a definition.

87 is too low.
This "tasting" is really just a collection of odd bottles with no theme, but I do like the sound of three 1985s and a 1994.

Correct!
We'll be having a 1963 Romariz Colheita, a Kopke 40-year old, a 2007 Kopke VP cask sample, and a 2007 Miller (California) port.
46+40+2+2 = 90.
JDAW is up.

That answer required a particular rounding algorithm.
As some here already know, I’m a member of the Coney Island Polar Bears, who swim at 1pm every Sunday from November to April. So today was the last swim of the Polar Bears’ (anti-)season. What temperature, to the nearest whole °F, was the water?

Derek, we are going to need proper help, like "Higher" or "Lower". Random guesses on a three digit number is going to take a long time.
