From the same year as Heidi, Yellow Submarine and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: Aladdin and his magic lamp.
Can you at least give us another clue on the year?

Not Alladin, not Carry on Screaming nor The Exorcist. All of which would have been preferable for a two year old if they had been released.

Very suitable for a two year old, a Russian war drama over three hours long - sadly nope.RonnieRoots wrote:Doctor Zhivago

Oliver was 1968 - so no then.
Really big cryptic clue was that I was two years old and I was born in 1963. Could be considered close to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Sound of Music for similar reasons, The Great Race was not close but was close to CCBB for other reasons, possible confusion there. Why would they be considered close? When I mentioned this to a 32 year old student he got it straight away, practically perfect.

At Last. The clues being:AHB wrote:Mary Poppins
Released in 1965 but five Oscars from 1964 - don't know how that works, 1963 + 2 = 1965;
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang being a fantasy musical starring Dick van Dyke, who played Bert;
The Sound of Music being a fantasy musical (ermmm) starring Julie Andrews, who played Mary flippin' Poppins;
"Practically Perfect" from "Practically Perfect in Every Way" - a song from said musical;
"Indubitably" being Bert's pronunciation of "Indisputably";
"Super..." with the ellipsis replacing calafragilisticexpialidocious (sp?) - a song from said musical.
No idea how this one was so difficult.
I hated the frigging thing.

Applying the same editorial logic which previously moved Taylor to 10th place has now moved Taylor to 5th place. (Taylor, as a shipper, includes any bottles of Vargellas single quinta ports that I own; Smith Woodhouse includes Madalena single quinta, etc.)AHB wrote:So far we have identified:

Looking through my cellar stocks for inspiration: not Churchill. Not Delaforce. Neither Infantado nor Magalhães. Definitely not Poças Júnior nor Portal. Let’s hope not Royal Oporto. Also eliminating Quevedo.
Maybe Niepoort. Maybe Offley. Probably not Ramos-Pinto. Sandeman very plausible.
So if none of the previous guesses, Martinez!

Re: One quiz at a time
Always too late to guess my pick... first Taylor was taken, then Noval, then Croft, now Cockburn. I'm just too slow! (Morgan was also a good guess by DRT.)
So...
I'll take Niepoort, but somehow I doubt it is correct.

Re: One quiz at a time
Ignoring Mr Wiseman's attempt to disguise several guesses into a single post, with the result that it only confused me, my list now becomes:
Berry's I tend to drink as soon as I get my hands on them. I have none in my collection.
And now having made everyone read through all of the waffle, I will give the credit to Julian. It is Martinez who is the fourth most represented shipper in my cellar. Slightly surprising to me, but there's been a fair amount come onto the market recently which is ready for drinking and has been well priced.
Missing from the list are "Unknown" at 12=, Gonzalez Byass at 16, Offley at 19 and Rebello Valente at 20.
Julian's up.
Nacional was included in with Noval, using the same sort of editorial logic as resulted in Vargellas being included in with Taylor; demonstrating a sad lack of Nacional in my cellar compared with other wines given that Noval is only at number 11.AHB wrote:So far we have identified:
