Thank you for penciling me in! I had some technical difficulties registering on the site but finally got it worked out with a little help from Alex. I'm very much looking forward to this awesome lineup of port and seeing many of the folks that I met at last year's Dow's vertical. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you guys out with the organizing.
Great, thank you! Whoever is "adopting out" , let me know so I can bring the correct $ to contribute. If they are spoken for, I'll donate the $ instead - whichever works best for the group.

OK. I'm in. I wasn't aware of the average cost until just now. (I was responding to one of the messages left above (` 5 msgs up) about the bottle that was for a split). Of course, as stated above, I will donate the $ if there are no more bottles to adopt. Anyway, see you on the 17th.

you know, if we are going to do this, I have Taylor 77, 80, and 85. Add them and we've got the lineup.
DifferentDave and Chris+1 both still need bottles, so that'd work out in that regard as well.
Amazing how things develop on TPF. This started out as a "drink some old leakers" tasting and is now a 35-year span of Taylor VPs.
Do we have the list of attendees finalized (with confirmation from each)? Who's unconfirmed? and do we have additional seats that we would like to fill?
Finally, Jeff, what time can you and I arrive to set up, pour, etc? I'd like to get all of the handled before everyone arrives.

We are now only missing 64 and the 61 and 60
1980 and 1977 are missing from the list, with no-one identified as adopting them.

Terry is confirmed to attend, and if it would be helpful, she can contribute a T77.
Let me know if that works.
looking forward to it

Chris -- she'll be bringing one from your/her collection, yes? (I have one for adopt if needed, but happy to leave it in the cellar)
This just leaves us with one gap: 1980. I have one, got it specifically for a taylor vert, which we are now having. Do we have someone to adopt? Or should I go to my fallback plan (i have one, of course).

So, in appreciation of g-man hooking me up at an informal Port gathering last night I offered to donate a bottle of Vargellas 95 to Saturday's lineup (I think it would be interesting to taste a more recent Vargellas against those from the 60's). G-man feels this might be overkill. What say you fellow tasters, the more Port the better or would one more bottle be too much?
We arrived in NYC this afternoon and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night! We had dinner with Sandy and Ruth tonight so they've arrived as well.
