I agree.Axel P wrote:Actually two: Dirk and Joao Nicolau de Almeida. If agreed I would invite them on behalf of the group and ask them to bring something.

And attendance list....jdaw1 wrote:The Bung Hole[/url] (57 High Holborn, London WC1V 6DT, tel 020 7831 8365) had been booked for the Warre LBV tasting formerly scheduled for Tuesday 23rd April 2013. Presumably the Dirty Dozen will inherit this reservation.

Based on Dirty Dozen discussion thread, spot should be reserved for "CG (TBC)" as member of original purchasing team and as he indicated he should be available, at least until he confirms or otherwise.jdaw1 wrote:RAYC wrote:And attendance list....Done.People:

Also, based on your reply to Axel in thread, suggest the attendance list should also include "Dirk (TBC)" and "Joao Nicolau de Almeida (TBC)".
Excellent. We have a plan.RAYC wrote:Sounds like a good plan and a very fitting use of the generously donated bottles.
Probably best if I book the tasting room first and then worry about the food tableRAYC wrote:Have we got an external table for the dinner (and if not, should we try to book?)
Only if someone other than the organiser booked itRAYC wrote:it should be booked already...

From earlier in thread, I unerstood we are already expecting Dirk and Joao Nicolau de Almeida; both are marked as TBC in the attendee list, as I think we are waiting to hear back frmo you for confirmation; If they have not already been invited then yes please do so. I'm sure they would bring something suitable.Axel P wrote:Shall I ask the two industry guests

I would suggest if we agree to put them in, that we pay for their meals.
Axel

I think jdaw1 counted the bottles quite late at night. My reading of what has been agreed is:jdaw1 wrote:Seven unknowns from an auction lot; and some (≈5) bottles from a mystery donor; and two from Axel (thank you).
Yes that would be perfect.AHB wrote:I like the idea of the proposed names for the first 12 ports, but find the last two less evocative. Then we need Rob’s magic. Rob?DRT wrote:15 bottles in total.
Unhelpfully similar abbreviations. IIRC, in Genesis God claims © on ♂ & ♀.AHB wrote:I like the idea of the proposed names for the first 12 ports, but find the last two less evocative. lol... Would that be a 40-day-long tasting? And applauding your wildly creative multitasking, well done!Has anyone ever thought of doing a '40 days in the wilderness'-themed tasting? I think we should.
A splendid theme for the next time RonnieRoots returns from the deserts of Oman.djewesbury wrote:Has anyone ever thought of doing a '40 days in the wilderness'-themed tasting?
You should take comfort from the fact that you are not multitasking. You are executing a series of linear tasks: start track >> read/post ondjewesbury wrote:May I just point out that I am replying to your posts while DJing a night of music from all over Africa? Could you please change the order of the subtitles to correspond with the above and set the parameters so that they appear as:In an email earlier today, DRT wrote:15 circles on A3 numbered 1 to 15.
Subtitles for 1 to 8 to be DDa to DDh.
Subtitles for 9 to 12 to be SEa to SEd. SE being the initials of the guy who donated the bottles.
Subtitles for 13 to 15 to be the initials of the people bringing the bottles. Axel, Dirk and Joao.
