I thought 91 was the part of the guess that was 'close'! And I remember RAYC mentioning the Guimaraens 91. Huh. Sulking now.

And it has been mentioned on this forum within the last month or so, in a comment directed at a regular player of this game.
And no to both previous.

FG = Fonseca Guimaraens, the second label of Fonseca which is produced in most years when the classic vintage is not declared. According to Messrs Bridge and Guimaraens the constituent parts of the blends of of F and FG are the same so the difference is quality.
FQdP = a single quinta vintage port.

The clue ‘animal skin’ would be fair, but might mislead. So would be an excellent clue.

OK. I put an apostrophe in because you pointed to the thread. But from what I know SMWS numbers are in the format n.nnn (or nn.nnnn if enough variants have been purchased).
Let's start at the beginning and work our way to the answer by the time we die...
1.001?
