Less than 142, more than 137.

If only that had been the right answer, I could have responded with "So long, and thanks for all the fish." or "Oh no, not again." Thanks for reminding of the best radio program ever. I must dig out my CDs of the shows and listen to them again.

I have the book of the trilogy on my desk. I was looking for the line about Ford Prefect jumping in and out of a lake that was a gin-and-tonic. At least, it thought it was a gin-and-tonic.

This one will take milliseconds, and won't even require Google for those who have experienced it before.

What was going on at Dishoom on Aug 29 that prevented Mr. and Mrs. Tawny from having dinner there after Hamlet?

Yes, really.

If you wish to ask a question—the enthusiasm being encouraged—you must first answer the question of Mr. Jewesbury.

That would take years. Then, once we'd agreed to disagree about whether or not my thought processes can accurately be described as "working", we'd be out of Port and have made no progress.

Indeed. It just goes to prove that UK educators who get around 26 weeks holiday per year probably need to spend more time at work.

Good lord. What a rabble. Have any of you any idea what you're here for? Whatever happened to discipline and self-respect? You're all expelled.

Now, being serious for a moment, I am genuinely interested to know how you knew what a pony is, Glenn. I only learned at the weekend that it is apparently a measure equivalent to two-thirds of an imperial pint (approx. 13.3 fl. oz.). I thought that in the States you referred to a pony as 1 U.S. fl. oz.

Hmm... that's a rather small pony.

Over here it is 7.75 gallons, especially when used in reference to beer. A pony keg, to be specific. "Old Tom" sounded like a beer to me, and a brief search rewarded me with the address of its brewer.

After some more google-fu, I discovered that we also have a "pony glass" which is ~1 oz and a "pony bottle" which is typically ~7 oz. I'd never heard either term before, at least in reference to drinking. Pony bottle is also a diver's term for a small safety tank of air, which I knew about but had to be reminded of whilst searching.

You can tell Daniel is keen to win.
A question, if we're allowed - was this something you chose to make, or were told to make?
