Opened at 19.00 the night before the tasting, decanted at 10.30 and tasted at 19.00.

Oporto bottled. Mature red in tone, 50% opaque. Gently spiced fruit showing on the nose with cinnamon and sweet red fruit; very attractive. The balance on the palate of mature fruit and Christmas spices is lovely. A little heat shows at first and the texture is a little watery but the flavours are good. Minty aftertaste, with a little tannin showing. Good length with gentle dark chocolate and dried sour cherry giving a great finish to this lovely wine. 89/100. Tasted at the TPF Awards on 07-Feb-23. Decanted 8½ hours.

40% opacity, warm red, brown rim. Red fruit, nice freshness. Soft entry, mild heat mid-late palate, some dryness, chewy red fruit.
