1970 Warre
Deep red in colour, mature but youthful; 70% opaque. Black cherry and liquorice root on the nose - fruit and root! Wonderfully fragrant. Fabulous balance on entry, black cherry on the palate with some fine grained tannins. Young black cherry aftertaste and a long black cherry finish. Very young, and very impressive. 93/100. Tasted at the TPF Awards on 07-Feb-23. Decanted 8 hours.
