On Thursday 11th December a few of us gathered together at the White Horse in Newport, Essex to open some bottles with no labels and few clues as to their identity. There were also some oddities opened alongside them. Many bottles cold be identified from their branded corks, but a large minority had no branding or illegible branding.

GC20. Bottled by the Wine Society. Decanted 1 hour. Mid shoulder fill. Brown colour with a hint of rose. Little on the nose, a touch of woodiness. A little redcurrant fruitiness on the palate, delicate redcurrant on the long finish. Elderly, evolved, but enjoyable delicate drinking. 87/100.
