On Thursday 11th December a few of us gathered together at the White Horse in Newport, Essex to open some bottles with no labels and few clues as to their identity. There were also some oddities opened alongside them. Many bottles cold be identified from their branded corks, but a large minority had no branding or illegible branding.

W63. Spiced rosehip syrup on the nose. Lovely. Concentrated redcurrant and cranberry on the palate with a bright acidity. Tannins are gentle and well integrated into the bright fruit. Lovely expressiveness on the aftertaste. Lovely, but a little shorter than would be ideal. 92/100.
