Part of The 1970 Horizontal (the definite article being most appropriate all hail organiser Axel P), in The RAF Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PY, on Friday 30th January 2009.

I cannot recall ever having had a Butler Nephew VP before this one. Slightly hot and musty on the nose. Bland and weak in the mouth. I did not like this wine.

1970 Butler Nephew: Palest of the ♣s (being A, BN, dS, Dl, GB). Very faint nose, with some heat. My note on the taste said ‟Odd, clings to the side of the mouth like ice cream”.
