Part of Churchill vertical tasting @ B&F, Tuesday 1st March 2022.

From an OWC of 12 purchased from Corney & Barrow broking in mid 2021.

Level into neck. Double decanted 24 hours before the tasting.

The picture above is what was tasted. There are also bottles with an older style label (as per the 82 and 85). Pictured below...

Red fruits and raisins here but with a lot more drying tannic grip. This feels quite grown up compared to the pre-90 wines, and I like it - good depth and plenty going on. V good.

Lovely glossy dark red. Strongly licorice-scented. Smells like a better Smith Woodhouse. Tastes good, but not quite as exciting as the nose promises.

70% opacity, dark red. Reich and lively, fruity nose. Full mouthfeel, dark fruit, blackcurrant, bramble, some tannin lingering.
