2003 Churchill

Post by nac »

Part of Churchill vertical tasting @ B&F, Tuesday 1st March 2022.

One of six different bottles supplied for the tasting by the Churchill Grahams. Many thanks to Johnny & Jamie.

Bottle in perfect condition, but only arrived the morning before the tasting so wasn't able to settle before being decanted (approx 24 hours before tasting).

Red berries and cherries on the palate. Spicy! Fairly simple but enjoyable. Good.

Paler than the 2000. Smells sweet and powerful, congruent palate. Finishes a bit short at first but fills out later.

50% opacity, dull red. Rich nose, red fruit. Lovely full mouthfeel, red fruit - redcurrant, soft tannin, still needs time.
