A little Cork taint here, liquorice and smoke. Good

1992 Churchill Quinta Agua Alta

Good colour. The nose a warning of problems to come. Palate very aggressive. Not anything like the previous bottle at the Churchill tasting a few weeks ago. Not right.

[Not] consumed 6/4/22.

From Churchill. Dark red colour with an opaque core and a medium rim. Almost nothing showing on the nose, perhaps some vague hints of maraschino cherry. Smooth cherry fruit with a good grip although a little one-dimensional. A great finish with some cocoa and black cherry. Needs to gain some more maturity. 87/100. Tasted 06-Apr-22.

I didn't pick up any of the TCA others have commented on but thought the wine very young and closed.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
