1992 Gilbert

Cloudy red. Not right on the nose - bacteriological fault? Palate of dirty fruit and sugar. Finish quite good, however. Both not really drinkable and not absolutely terrible.

Consumed 6/4/22.

Slightly hazy appearance, mature red colour with a touch of brick. Slightly unpleasant nose with a little harsh fruit. Smooth entry with limited fruit, some brown sugar and soft candied raspberry. Perfectly pleasant and drinkable. 85/100. 06-Apr-22. Decanted 21½ hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

40% opacity, cloudy dull red. Simple, chewy, sweet.
