25% opacity, orange brown. Sweet nose. Chewy entry, heat, caramels and almond.

Pale orange rim. More pine on the nose than the RP. Rich palate. Warming, maybe lacking a bit of fruit, but finished well. A real pleasure to drink.

1945 Ferreira. Decanted 3 hours. Orange marmalade on the nose. A little hollow on the palate, bitter orange fruit on a wine starting to dry out. Bitter Seville orange finish. Passable, but not to the standard hoped for in a 1945 Vintage Port. 81/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
