40% opacity, red-brown. Cherry fruit which is drying. Dry finish.

Still fully dark red. Still tastes a bit dumb and unready at first! Continued to develop throughout the evening. Spice and fruit and power. Got a point from me.

1945 Constantino, decanted 3 hours. Very dark red colour, 60% opaque. Lovely jellied red fruit on the nose, sweet and beautifully poised. Wonderful on the palate, generous redcurrant fruit with the perfect level of acidity to give the wine full of life. Jellied red fruit in a lovely place. The red jellied fruit settles on the palate and lingers beautifully. Young, fresh and vivacious. Fabulous Port. 92/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
