40% opacity, red-orange. Full, chewy, dried cranberries, spice, heat mid to late palate. Super port.

Quite dark. Lots of pine on the nose. Palate full of life. Note of blackcurrant. A big red warmth to it. Really very good wine.

1945 Sandeman, decanted 2 hours. Burnt ochre colour, 40% opaque. Gentle nose of mature spiced fruit, very attractive. More lively on the palate than expected from the nose, vivacious and full of spiced fruit. A little hot and spicy on the palate and aftertaste. Menthol and redcurrant finish. A little hot for perfection, still quite youthful. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
