Pale rim. Quite dry, unusually so for a Graham. I had to work quite hard to find the strawberry.

1945 Graham, decanted 2½ hours. Bronze colour, 50% opaque. Gentle sweet red fruit jelly nose. Gorgeous on the palate with a fabulous sweetness to the spiced fruit. Rich and complex palate, singing and glorious with the finish a chorus of angels. Beautiful, mature Port. 98/100.

There was a little left in the bottle, which I took home for my trophy wall (it was the bottle I contributed to the tasting). Fascinatingly, the Graham 1945 was still drinking wonderfully the following lunchtime.
